Lighthouse Digital Results is hiring multiple entry-level video curators to find and clip the most newsworthy political news content of the day. You’ll be working with a crack team of political news junkies to find the biggest hits in video journalism each day. If you love the political news cycle,

Qualifications:
- Excellent news judgment and curiosity about current events
- Familiarity with political journalism and news production
- Editorial judgment with a creative eye toward engaging video content
- Experience with video editing software
- Works well independently and with a team
- Flexible with fast-paced changing schedule and work demands that adapt to the news cycle
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with the supervising editor to determine production vision.
- Review raw material to determine the best and most interesting video clips.
- Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
- Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
- Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
- Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Ensuring the edited project follows a logical sequence.
- Consulting with the supervising editor throughout the project.
- Creating the final cut for uploading.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a tight turnaround schedule.
- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
