As a social media manager, you must know the latest and expected trends for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all other outlets.
After all, according to research, more and more people will join and then use social media in the next two to three years. The lure of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) is too enticing to ignore.
Social media marketers know this and have increased their budgets to advertise more and create more content. This, of course, will generate more business revenue.
Nothing happens unless social media marketers understand and prove to customers that they are authentic.
Here are social media marketing trends to watch for in 2025:
• Facebook: Social media marketers take note. Fewer people aged 25 and younger are on the site that Mark Zuckerberg gave us two decades ago.
• Authenticity: Celebrities no longer hold influence over audience members.
• People Want an Emotional Connection to a Brand: Customers want to know whether a brand has humanity and shares their values.
• Some Businesses Lack a Planned Approach to Digital Marketing: Research shows that nearly half of businesses don’t have a digital marketing strategy.
• Attention Spans: People now lose focus on an ad after about a second and a half. Videos that last more than one minute are too much for audiences. Generally, ads that are 11 to 17 seconds are the most successful.
• TikTok: More Generation Z and Generation Alpha people are on this outlet. Research shows that 18-24-year-olds spend an hour and a half a day on TikTok. That, of course, will invite more advertisers.
• The Amount of Time People Spend on Social Media: People spend more time on social media. In 2025, influencer spending will grow at a rate of 3.5 times that of social media ad spending. That spending is expected to grow by at least 14 percent every year through 2025.
• Customer Service: More and more people are complaining about the quality of their customer service. Not surprisingly, customers want speedier and more efficient communication. On social media, good customer service isn’t always available 24/7. But there are alternatives. More AI-powered chatbots are used to fill this purpose.
• Artificial Intelligence (AI): Delegating social media tasks to AI creates a more efficient workflow. Social media marketers, for instance, now use AI to write captions. Analysts expect that audiences will make AI programs such as Midjourney, DALL-E, and Stable Diffusion hugely popular in 2025. They can create images in a matter of seconds, thus saving time and money.
